Sir Gerard Fogg, knight in the Royal Guard of the kingdom of Algonwick, is in love with the King’s only son, Prince Tristan Fysher. The two men carry on a secret, sexual affair and proclaim their undying love for one another, only to have it torn apart by an intruder from the future. A white supremacist named Malcolm attacks them and vanishes, leaving Tristan mortally wounded and Gerard consumed by grief.
Sentenced to death for failing to protect the Prince, Gerard is freed late one night by the King’s advisor, Ranulf Godfrey, the one man who knows the path they need to follow for justice. The two travel through time to 2006 where they find the castle they love in ruins that are being researched by a handsome young archaeologist named Jon Calder. Jon is drawn to the castle site, feeling as if he finally has a home among the ruins, and finds himself attracted to Gerard, the mysterious stranger with no knowledge of modern comforts and a strange accent.
Gerard and Ranulf soon realize that Jon is the vessel holding the soul of the murdered Prince. As Gerard tries to find the words to explain his past without losing Jon's trust, the two men embark on a journey of sexual discovery more than 500 years in the making, all the while the murderous Malcolm circles ever closer.
Amos Lassen, reviewer for Literary Pride, had this to say about Destiny's Bastard:
"The entire way he set up the story and created the characters, in my mind, was absolutely wonderful. Then Edwards had to decide where to put the smut which is the sign of a good writer. Rather than give us a story made up of male/male sex, he constructed his story and then, as if adding salt to a bland dish, sprinkled the story with erotica."
